Once you are accepted to NMMI you will receive an international questionnaire to complete and return. Once it is returned, along with proof of financials, we will send you the I-20.
As a foreign student, you are required to obtain an F-1 student visa to attend NMMI. You will receive an I-20 from our department directly. The I-20 form is needed in order to make a visa appointment with the closest U.S. Embassy or Consulate Office. Please print it and sign this 1-20 document. SEVIS requires a fee to be paid prior to your appointment.
After you pay the SEVIS fee, (I-901 Fee) you may apply at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate for a student visa – F-1. You must present the Form I-20 to the Consulate Office when you attend your Visa interview along with the DS-160 form. For detailed information on how to apply for your student visa, visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/study/student-visa.html
