The mission of the New Mexico Military Institute Foundation, Inc. is to create, maintain, and administer an endowment fund for the benefit of New Mexico Military Institute to be used for research, scientific and literary purposes; for increasing the building, equipment, and other facilities of New Mexico Military Institute; to provide scholarships; and to promote the growth, welfare, and maintenance of New Mexico Military Institute.
The New Mexico Military Institute Foundation (Foundation) is a nonprofit corporation, incorporated under the laws of the State of New Mexico in 1945. The Foundation obtained its tax-exempt status in 1959 as a 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation is a single purpose entity formed to support the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI), a state educational institution.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees who generously volunteer their time, expertise, and financial support while working to ensure the Foundation operations are efficient, resources are maximized, and significant annual support is provided to NMMI.

The Foundation receives support from contributions, earnings on investments and revenues from real estate sales and operations.

NMMI provides the essentials necessary to complete its mission to develop the “whole person” through its strong academic, leadership and physical development programs.
