National Science Bowl 2024

Cadet Jonah Pinon, Steven Xu, Yanming Wu and Lucas Tang competed in the National Science Bowl 2024 in Washington D.C this past weekend, with all the expenses covered by the Department of Energy. They faced off against the top 67 high schools in the nation. In the robin round, they won 3 out of 7 matches, narrowly missing the elimination round. I am very proud of them. They demonstrated knowledge, leadership, and represented NMMI well. It was an excellent experience for our cadets. They had the opportunity to socialize with some of the brightest students in the nation, many of whom were International Science Olympiad Medalists or Team USA members. We are looking forward to participating again next year.
