NMMI cadets compete in 2024 Sierra Blanca Academic Challenge

Over the weekend, NMMI Teams A and B competed in the Fall 2024 Sierra Blanca Academic Challenge (Quiz Bowl) at Ruidoso High School. Among 13 competing teams, NMMI Team A secured an impressive 2nd place finish, while NMMI Team B took 4th place overall. Considering that our cadets had less than two weeks to prepare, their performance was nothing short of phenomenal.

The Quiz Bowl covered a wide range of subjects, including math, science, history, music, art, philosophy, English, social sciences, sports, current events, and etc. Individually, CDT Wu achieved 9th place for overall personal score, and CDT Vetore earned a remarkable 2nd place overall personal score.

With this achievement, Team A probably will qualify for the National Championship next semester—a testament to the cadets’ hard work and dedication.
