NMMI Robotics Teams Shine at NM Robotics State Championships
The NMMI Robotics Teams delivered outstanding performances at the New Mexico Robotics State Championships in Albuquerque on March 7-8, 2025.
Competing against the best teams from across New Mexico, Team 69580A claimed the highest honor—the Excellence Award of the NM State Championships. This achievement secures their spot to represent New Mexico at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championships in Dallas from May 6-9. With over 20,000+ teams from more than 60 countries vying for a place in the world’s largest robotics competition, only the top teams from each State or Country qualify, making this a remarkable accomplishment.
During the State Championships:
Team 69580A advanced to the finals, narrowly losing by just 4 points.
Team 69580X reached the semifinals and earned the Judge Award.
Team 69580Z made it to the quarterfinals.
All three teams performed exceptionally well, proudly representing NMMI’s commitment to excellence in STEM education.
